Travis' Dad comes to town

So this past week has been a busy one! Travis' dad came to visit from Texas. It was my first time meeting him (although I've FB stalked him a little). Overall, it was a lot of fun. We went out to dinner and played at the park. So here's a few pics...

Everyone's once-upon-a-time starts somewhere...

Travis & I
...So I guess this is where mine will start.  My life right now is currently revolving around work and my boyfriend, so forgive me if anything is stale. I'm dating the most amazing man I've ever met, Travis Choitz. He has two pretty awesome kids, Brieanna (10) and Dylan (11).  Who ever thought I'd be dating an old man?  Haha!  But seriously, they're my life right now.  Travis does sweet things for me all the time, like buy me flowers and my favorite candy for absolutley no reason at all.  He recently got a promotion at work and is now the chef at a store in Fort Collins.  I'm way proud of him!  Plus it means that things are going to start getting even better for us as a couple.

Travis & his kids

On Friday I went to Longmont's version of Octoberfest with Travis and the kids.  We had a good time, but everything was really expensive, so we spent most of the evening listening to the bands, playing Uno, and eating pizza.  After they went home, I got to go to Skyline High School's homecoming football game.  My youngest sister, Paige (15), is a cheerleader.  She did such a good job!  I can't beleive she's so old already!  She's super cute, and has a friendly, relaxed, and "cool dork," sort of vibe.  Suprisingly enough, Skyline won the football game.  That never happens.  They won by a lot, too (not that I watched the game at all).

It was a long week.  I worked my least favorite shift almost my entire week, but my weekend is finally here!  My contacts were also being a bother, so I've gone through about $20 worth of new contacts in the past week. Boo! Hopefully all is well there now.  I plan on getting new glasses soon so as to avoid any more huge eye issues.

I'm starting to realize how expensive life is.  I just got a new-to-me car that I took out a loan for, so that's one bill.  Phone, gym, insurance, and tanning are the rest for now.  I need to cancel the tanning one and the gym one, which would give me almost an extra $100 a month (if my ex is still on the gym one).  I'm just lucky my housing situation is cheap.  Soon enough, I'll have housing payments too though.  I'm kind of looking forward to that, given the situation.  Living in a small space in someone else's home with a HUGE cage of annoying birds is not ideal.  Soon enough, though, things will change for the better.

Travis before the hair. Still cute. :)

Ok, you're probably bored out of your mind by now.  Hopefully the next post will be something more captivating.
